ABOUT DISTRICT III RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS:
U5-U14 PROGRAMS: Every league offers a recreational program. These teams that focus on fun and learning basic soccer skills. As they get older, they can begin to go to tournaments and try their skills against competitors they have not met before in new and exciting locations.
U16-U19 PROGRAMS: Division 4 (House/Recreational) teams in U16-U19 in District III have the option in most of the leagues to have their games stay within their leagues or participate in the District "Traveling House Program". Traveling House are U16-19 teams that play some of season games outside of their city against other city teams.
“Enhanced” Recreational Programs: Some clubs also offer “enhanced” recreational programs, with more games and including features such as pre-season work-outs, periodic team training, and intra-club tournaments. These programs are aimed at recreational players wishing to invest more time into their soccer experience, and are generally in the U10-U14 age range. Contact your local club to find out if such a program is available to you. District III is planning an inter-club tournament for these types of teams. [click here for more details]
